Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ChartLoad ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our website at chartload.com (the "Service"). ChartLoad is a free online chart maker that operates entirely in your browser. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal data. ChartLoad does not require an account, signup, login, or any form of registration. All charts are created 100% in your browser. Your chart data is never uploaded to or processed on our servers.

Local Storage

We use your browser's localStorage to save theme preferences (light or dark mode) and recent chart data so you can pick up where you left off. This data is stored entirely on your device and never leaves your browser. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic patterns and improve the Service. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data, including page views, device type, browser type, and general geographic location (country or region level). No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics implementation.

Advertising

ChartLoad displays advertisements provided by third-party advertising networks, including but not limited to:

  • Google AdSense — Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to ChartLoad and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Google Advertising Privacy Policy
  • Adsterra — Adsterra may use cookies and similar technologies to display relevant advertisements. Adsterra Privacy Policy

Our Google AdSense publisher ID is ca-pub-8196639881039521. Our ads.txt file lists the advertising partners authorized to sell inventory on this site.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to ChartLoad and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

For a full explanation of what Google collects when you visit a site that uses its advertising services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

We do not control which specific advertisements are shown. See our Disclaimer for our position on advertiser content.

Cookies

ChartLoad and its partners use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies — for basic website functionality (theme preference stored in localStorage).
  • Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to distinguish users and understand traffic patterns.
  • Advertising cookies — set by Google AdSense, Adsterra, and their partners to serve relevant ads, measure ad performance, and limit how often you see an ad. These cookies may track your browsing activity across websites to deliver personalized advertising.

You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the website and the ads displayed.

Your Choices and Consent

When you first visit ChartLoad you are shown a cookie banner offering a clear Accept or Reject choice. Until you make that choice, and if you reject, analytics and advertising storage remain disabled through Google Consent Mode v2 — advertising, analytics, ad-personalization, and ad-user-data consent signals are all set to denied by default on every page of this site.

You can change your decision at any time by clicking Cookie Preferences in the footer of any page, which reopens the banner. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Third-Party Services

ChartLoad relies on the following third-party services:

Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their respective policies for more information.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share any user data with third parties. Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal information to share.

Children's Privacy

ChartLoad does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13. Because our Service does not collect personal information from any user, we believe it is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe that a child under 13 has somehow provided personal information through our Service, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws give you rights over personal data relating to you.

What we process and why. ChartLoad itself does not collect, store, or transmit personal data — there is no account, and your chart data never leaves your browser. Personal data may nonetheless be processed by our analytics and advertising partners (Google and Adsterra) through cookies and similar identifiers when you consent to them.

Legal basis. Where analytics or advertising cookies are used, our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), collected through the cookie banner described above and signalled to Google via Consent Mode v2. Consent is never assumed: nothing non-essential is enabled until you choose. You may withdraw consent at any time via Cookie Preferences, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Your rights. Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to access your personal data, to rectification, to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), to restriction of processing, to data portability, to object to processing (including profiling for direct marketing), and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. Because we hold no personal data ourselves, requests concerning advertising or analytics data should be directed to the relevant partner:

International transfers. Our advertising and analytics partners are based outside the EEA, principally in the United States, and may transfer data there. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission, as set out in each partner’s own privacy policy.

Retention. We retain no personal data. Retention periods for cookie-based identifiers are set by the partner that placed them and are described in their respective policies.

California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information, including the right to know what personal data is collected, the right to request deletion of personal data, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

ChartLoad does not directly collect, store, or sell personal information. However, our third-party advertising partners (Google AdSense and Adsterra) may collect certain information through cookies for the purpose of serving personalized ads, which may be considered "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA. You may opt out of personalized advertising by:
